Giants Dwarfs And Black Holes is a German heavy psych/acid prog rock band from the Rhine-Main area founded in 2019. From the beginning, the group's musical foundation has been acid/psychedelic/progressive rock of the early 1970s. However, the musicians do not want to limit their musical and artistic expression to a fixed framework. They refine their music with excursions into blues, kraut, stoner and desert rock. This creates an interesting, powerful sound bridge between classic and modern sounds. Over time the focus has shifted from heavy psychedelic/stoner rock on the first album to more psychedelic /acid/progressive rock on the second and especially the third album. The band name came from a thought experiment. On the one hand there are the astronomical terms: Giants (Red Giants), Dwarfs (White Dwarfs) and Black Holes, on the other hand it is supposed to be a play on words for creatures from fairy tales and mythology. The fairy-tale, astronomical ambiguity of the name is intentional and is intended to encourage individual interpretation
