NEW LP+7" EDITION OF GAZPACHO'S 2009 ALBUM TICK TOCK FOR 10th ANNIVERSARY. FEATURING THE BONUS TRACK "INDEPENDENCE DAY" FOR THE FIRST TIME ON VINYL
Album of the month - Eclipsed (DE)
Formed in Oslo in 1996 by childhood friends Jon-Arne Vilbo and Thomas Andersen along with Jan-Henrik Ohme (later joined by Mikael Krømer, Lars Erik Asp and Kristian Torp), Gazpacho have honed their unique sound over a string of critically acclaimed albums and numerous tours, including several with long-time supporters Marillion.
The band signed to Kscope in 2011 and have since released the acclaimed 'Missa Atropos' and 'March of Ghosts' albums but it was 2009's 'Tick Tock' album that first brought the band to the label's attention. Upon release DPRP stated 'if you are a fan of music that transports you to another place, you will find nothing better!' (10/10) and it was named album of the month by Eclipsed in Germany.
This edition of 'Tick Tock' features the bonus track, "Independence Day", an outtake from the original recording session on the 7" as the B-side to "Winter is Never". This is the first time that "Independence Day" has been available on vinyl. The LP is presented in single sleeve packaging including the 7" vinyl.
Gazpacho are currently enjoying the successes of their 2018 studio album 'Soyuz', which included a UK and European tour, which included Spain's Be Prog! My Friend summer festival. The band have also begun to announce 2019 festival performances, including Florida's famed 'Cruise to the Edge', the Marillion Weekend in Poland and Progdreams in the Netherlands.
Recent press for Gazpacho:
"but none match the distinctive and overwhelming eloquence, intensity, and seamlessness of Norwegian quintet Gazpacho. They truly put the "art" in art rock." Popmatters (USA).
"Soyuz contemplates the transient beauty of fleeting moments, manifesting this bittersweet reverie though characters and tales" Classic Rock (UK)
"Soyuz is almost as good as their masterpieces Tick Tock & Night" Rockportaal (NL)
