Growing up can be exhausting, even overwhelming. Ferge X Fisherman explore the complexity of this process on 'Good Mother'. Rapper Fritz Fisherman shares formative experiences, evaluates past decisions and captures the universal fears of this phase of life - career, relationships, financial and emotional responsibilities. Over the course of the album, uncertainties often play a role.
Musically, Ferge X Fisherman consciously create a contrast to these feelings. Employing gospel choirs, soulful Rhodes chords, wah-wah guitars and vintage strings, the songs often have a '70s film soundtrack vibe.
'Good Mother' is a multidimensional coming-of-age album on which Ferge X Fisherman embrace life's jumbled heap of changes by juxtaposing the problems of the adult world with an embracing intimacy. -
