  • Description

Released in 1987, 'Raging Steel' is the second studio album by German thrash metal band Deathrow and is widely regarded as one of the highlights of their career. Emerging during the golden era of German thrash--often dubbed "Teutonic Thrash"--the album showcases a raw yet refined energy, combining breakneck speed, aggressive riffing, and surprisingly melodic guitar work for the genre.

Following their debut 'Riders of Doom', which suffered from a rough production, 'Raging Steel' features a significantly improved sound, delivering a clearer and more impactful sonic experience. The album blends relentless, straight-ahead thrash with technical elements and hints of melodic sophistication, setting it apart from many of their contemporaries.

Tracks like "Scattered by the Wind" and the title track 'Raging Steel' exemplify the band's intensity and tight musicianship. While Deathrow never reached the commercial heights of fellow German acts like Kreator or Sodom, 'Raging Steel' earned them critical praise and a solid cult following, particularly in Europe and among underground thrash fans worldwide.
With its fierce execution and classic 1980s thrash spirit, 'Raging Steel' remains a standout release in Deathrow's discography and a hidden gem of the Teutonic thrash movement.

Now available newly mastered in digipack and a stunning splatter vinyl !

For fans of : Exodus, Kreator, Testament, Death Angel, Vio-lence
