Charlie Applewhite came at the tail end of the 50's crooners, becoming an overnight sensation on the Milton Berle TV show. He recorded nearly two dozen songs for Decca Records, including three Billboard chart hits, as well as additional singles for MGM, RKO Unique, and Design, all included in this new compilation and all on CD for the very first time.
His career was cut short by rock and roll, induction into the Army, and a near-fatal plane crash, but his legacy lives on with this Jasmine collection, digitally restored to pristine sound.
