'Sometimes, evoking giants of the 90's death scene like Malevolent Creation, Obituary, Massacre or even Benediction, but never losing the characteristic and singularity of what made them a legendary band... this is a slab of pure, evil, eviscerating raw death metal' Metal Wani

'For any fan of no frills, cut-throat death metal this is one certainly not to be missed!' - (9/10) Distorted Sound

'All of the songs are electrifying right from the start... Only the biggest optimists would have expected such a cool album from the trio. Welcome back, boys!' (13/15) - Legacy

'Riffing mid-tempo Death Metal with American roots but also a portion of British flair. In this form Cancer can remain for quite a while' Rock Hard

Death metal gods Cancer burst onto the UK extreme metal scene over thirty-five years ago, & established a strong global following over the course of their seven studio albums, including a stint with major label EastWest under Warner Music. 2018's 'Shadow Gripped' album reunited the core band for the first time since 1995 for a new masterclass of twisted savagery, & 2025's 'Inverted World' showed the recently reinvigorated band had lost none of its passion for relentless old school brutality.

'Shadow Gripped' marked 30 years of existence for the band with its sixth full-length studio album, reuniting all three original core members - John Walker (guitar/vocals), Ian Buchanan (bass) & Carl Stokes (drums) - for the first time since 1995.
