What do you get when the hard driving rhythm section of one of Holland's most renowned fusion bands joins forces with the best pedal steel player they know and decide to get themselves triggered and inspired by adding the talent of 3 young talents to the equation? Well, one of the most exciting (live) roots bands to emerge from Holland in recent years: with its 2016 debut album "VEG OUT!", Any Vegetable delivers a record strongly rooted in American music. The 6-piece band, lead by renowned bass player and songwriter Pieter Douma (BGUTI Orchestra, Blowbeat) is a powerful rock group with hints of jazz, country, blues and funk. With René Creemers (Drumbassadors, Blowbeat) on drums and Johan Jansen (Ilse deLange, Waylon, COD) on pedal steel guitar he sought out three young musicians in order to fuse experience and fresh talent into
a group that can (AND WILL!) blow your mind. That fresh talent was found in in Lizzy Ossevoort (vocals), Baer Traa (vocals/ac. guitar) and Aldo Spadaro (electr. guitar). All enthusiastic youngsters that already can boast a series of awards. For their debut album "VEG OUT" the band collaborated with producer Sebastiaan van Bijlevelt to provide ten eclectic songs with a big and recognizable sound that is Any Vegetable's distinctive sonic statement.
