  • Description

This CD consists of two 'Jubilee' broadcasts from 1944 recorded by the Armed Forces Radio Service to entertain the US military overseas in World War Two. The shows featured top instrumental and vocal acts of the day, in this case Andy Kirk and his Clouds Of Joy big band, pop singers Bob Crosby and June Richmond, vocal group The Delta Rhythm Boys and dixieland band The Bob Cats. The shows also present crowd-pleasing entertainer Scat Man Crothers and a couple of comedy/novelty acts, as well as an unidentified guitarist thought to be Les Paul.
