John Perry impacting now! Martin is best known for his band
Martin Stephenson and The Daintees, with who he still tours extensively as well as performing solo.
John Perry founded
'The Only Ones' with
Peter Perrett, recording a series of albums for
CBS Records.
The Only Ones came out of London during the first wave of punk (1976-77) and toured with New York bands
The Heartbreakers and
Television.
Perry's guitar style is noted for a combination of attack and melody, a mixture that the UK music magazine Sounds described as being "very superb".

Martin Stephenson is one of the UK's best-loved songwriter/musicians for over 35 years. His must-see live performances are an exuberant tour-de-force combining heart-in-your-mouth intimacy with playful humour and warm self-deprecation.
He has amassed a strong back catalog of quality albums, including the highly acclaimed album
Boat to Bolivia, released in 1986. Martin is renowned as a hard-working touring artist, never failing to deliver quality performances.

Daintees are a highly skilled squad of versatile master musicians with exceptionally wide-ranging skills, including 'Alt Country' which was a term
Stephenson originated in 1985 whilst describing the song
'Running Water' on his debut album
Boat to Bolivia.

Billy Connolly documentary, the Big Yin described Martin as
... "his kind of musician".
John Perry began playing professionally at 15 and played on the first pyramid stage at the 1971 Glastonbury Festival. He spent several years touring England and Europe with
Hawkwind/Pink Fairies collective before forming
'The Only Ones' in 1975 with
Peter Perrett, recording a series of albums for CBS Records.
