Inspired by Thomas Gaucher's native Poitou region, Rusty Ladder's music weaves a soundscape where jazz, folk, and rock intertwine. The guitar, central and ever-present, evokes the poetry of Bill Frisell, the free-flowing playing of John Scofield, and the melodic depth of Pat Metheny. By turns soloist, accompanist, and creator of textures, it flows seamlessly, building a multidimensional sound that fully immerses the listener. Driven by the sensitive and impeccable playing of Gabriel Sauzay and Loup Godfroy, Rusty Ladder unfolds a music that is both introspective and brimming with vitality. -
