Description
British blues musician Little George Sueref is deeply inspired by the classic down-home roots blues of Jimmy Reed, Snooky Pryor, J.B. Hutto and Muddy Waters, as well as the more soulful sounds of Johnnie Taylor and Sam Cooke. He joined the hardworking and hard playing Big Joe Louis & His Blues Kings as vocalist and harp player and as time went on, Little George's voice began to win its own dedicated coterie of fans, leading to performances all over Europe, Scandinavia & America. This is the first commercial release on vinyl and CD of the privately issued CD he made back in 2000, lauded by broadcasters and tastemakers like John Peel, Charlie Gillett and Andy Kershaw. The album has been out of print for two decades and is available on vinyl for the first time. The 2 disc LP plays at 45 rpm for maximum pleasure! The recordings feature appearances by Louisiana bluesman Lazy Lester along with Ike and Tina Turner alumni and hit soul singer Jimmy Thomas.
