Description
New recording by the famous English singer and songwriter Iain Matthews who is joined by the Dutch singer/songwriter Ad Vanderveen for this duo session.
Matthews' first break was as vocalist with Fairport Convention in the 1960s. A solo career followed – first with Matthews Southern Comfort, which had a number one hit with Joni Mitchell's 'Woodstock' – and then with various line-ups, releasing more than 30 solo albums over a period of almost 40 years. He now lives in Holland, often performing with Dutch musician Ad Vanderveen.
In his liner notes for this album the renowned producer Joe Boyd says: "This record is sweet on the ear: the two voices are similar but clearly different, one track flows into the next, each one a subtle treat that improves with repetition … You're in the hands of two confident craftsmen, at ease with their talents and having a good time."
