This album was recorded three years before Ahmad Jamal's rise to fame following the success of his 1958 Pershing and Spotlight live albums. Issued in 1956, the LP The Ahmad Jamal Triocomprises performances from an extended single 1955 Epic session in New York. With Jamal accompanied by the legendary bassist Israel Crosby, and guitarist Ray Crawford.
