Description
Dialtone Records documents the blues and gospel music that is being played around Texas today. With that in mind, this album is probably the most important on the label. The featured artists are the 3rd Generation of blues musicians and are the basis of the Austin Texas roots music scene that goes on every night. Supporting the young bloods is a solid rhythm quartet of older players from the postwar blues generation: Spot Barnett (saxophone), Earl Gilliam (keyboards), Jeffery Plummer (bass), Willie Sampson (drums).
Featured artists: Eve Monsees (who plays an Epiphone Riviera guitar), Mike Keller (Fender Telecaster), Johnny Moeller (Fender Stratocaster), Nick Curran (Gretch Duo Jet), Seth Walker (Gibson ES 150), Shawn Pittman (Fender Relic Stratocaster).
