Based on the classic novel by James Joyce, Tangerine Dream's 'Finnegan's Wake' is as mystifying as the work that inspires it. Originally released in 2011, 'Finnegans Wake' remains one of Tangerine Dream's most adventurous releases & a stellar example of the group's singular approach to composition.
Across the 8 tracks on 'Finnegan's Wake', Tangerine Dream weave a tapestry of sound that mirrors the intricate & enigmatic narrative of Joyce's novel. The album's layered textures & sparse use of vocals amongst electronic instrumentation transports listeners into a world of dreamlike ambiguity. 'Finnegan's Wake' follows 'The Island Of Fay' & 'The Angel Of The West Window' as the third release in Tangerine Dream's Sonic Poem series.
