Billie Holiday started her recording career with an outstanding series of small group sessions for Columbia, made between 1935 and 1941. When she signed her last long-term contract with Norman Granz in 1952, he tried to repeat the small group magic of her early days, surrounding her by brilliant jazz soloists of the time. This album, containing recordings from her 1952 and 1954 sessions was originally released on a 10" vinyl on Granz's label, Clef Records, it's complemented here with 4 additonal tracks.
