Description
New Zealand’s indie sludge-pop rockers Soaked Oats consist of Oscar Mein on the larynx and Mamba, Henry Francis on the Bubble Stick, Max Holmes on the Blue Whale and Conor Feehly wielding the Gorilla Sticks.
Sludge Pop was recorded in part in the band's hometown of Dunedin by Tom Bell at the iconic Chicks Hotel in Port Chalmers as well as at Roundhead Studios in Auckland. Production of the EP took place in Auckland at Paquin Studios (The Lab) by Tom Healy (Tiny Ruins, Miss June, Finn Andrews) and Soaked Oats.
Soaked Oats have done a lot of time together. In 2018, they embarked on a DIY US tour in an old, cheap RV with no (major) breakdowns then in 2019 they embarked on a massively successful summer tour of Australia and New Zealand after returning from a UK tour, where they blew away crowds at The Great Escape and London.
