Description
Switchis the tenth studio album by Dutch rock bandGolden Earring, released in 1975 as the follow-up of the band's international breakthrough album Moontan and their bona fide classic track Radar Love. Both American music magazine Billboard and UK music magazine Sounds appointed the band in 1974 as one of the most promising new bands. But Switch marked a switch for Golden Earring, as it was more influenced by funk and prog than any of the band's previous or subsequent releases. Lead single 'Kill Me (Ce Soir)' perfectly demonstrates how Golden Earring experimented with a new sound. Golden Earring archivist Wouter Bessels catalogued and listened through all work tapes from the Switch sessions and found a previously unreleased track: Action Alice & Bow-Tie Basil. Recorded during the Switch sessions, it marks the first time that the band has approved a previously unreleased finished studio track for release.
