Description
Terry Dene was only eighteen years of age when he burst onto the UK's nascent Rock & Roll scene in the Spring of 1957.
During 1957 he was second only to Tommy Steele in popularity in the UK, his first two records making the Top 20, while he also starred in The Golden Disc, a custom-written movie based on his rise to stardom. But the following year he was targeted by the press, and suffered a breakdown, which had a detrimental effect on his career.
This compilation rounds up everything that Dene recorded between 1957-62, for the Decca, Oriole and Aral labels. All his hits and signature songs are featured, viz: 'A White Sport Coat', 'Start Movin'', 'Baby She's Gone', 'C'Min And Be Loved', 'Stairway Of Love', 'Pretty Little Pearly', 'Geraldine', 'The Feminine Look', etc.
Dene's post-Decca sides are notoriously difficult to find elsewhere on CD, while our title track, 'Like A Baby', is impossibly rare, having never previously been reissued in any format.
