Description
Limited edition white vinyl. "Thoroughly exciting punk rock." - Louder Than War. "a band you should take great pains not to miss" - Epigram Magazine. One of the most exciting young punk bands in Britain is about to make one of the more sought-after DIY releases of recent years available once again. Swansea's REPEAT Records has announced a limited white vinyl repress of Blesh, the blistering debut EP from Tenby's Lacross Club. Originally released as a hand-numbered lathe-cut 7-inch alongside CD and cassette editions, the five-track release sold out after little more than a handful of gigs, quickly becoming a prized possession among fans. Now properly pressed for the first time, Blesh captures everything that has made Lacross Club one of the UK's most talked-about young live bands. Featuring favourites including John Francis (Buy My House) and Welsh Weather Heather, the EP is a perfect snapshot of the trio's frantic, melodic noise-punk: huge hooks delivered with reckless energy, humour and enough volume to leave ears ringing long after the last note. Readers of REPEAT will already know the band's reputation. Lacross Club have spent the past few years tearing through South Wales and beyond like a busted skateboard, building a devoted following with joyous, explosive performances that are impossible to ignore. Frontman Cai launches himself around stages with fearless abandon, diving headfirst into crowds and somehow sticking every landing, while the band behind him provide a whirlwind of razor-sharp riffs, breakneck rhythms and infectious melodies. Now based in Bristol, Lacross Club's reputation continues to grow, with increasingly frequent appearances around the UK and Europe proving that their blend of chaos and craft travels remarkably well. REPEAT Records founder Richard Rose said: "Lacross Club are exactly the sort of band REPEAT loves working with. They're fearless, completely themselves and they remind you just how exciting discovering a brilliant young band can be. The original Blesh disappeared almost immediately, so we're delighted to give people another chance to own what remains one of the finest DIY punk releases to come out of Wales in recent years."
