Debut album from London vocalist Ram Meetook. A spiritual album of Hindu divine chants, recorded in London with live music composed and produced by Kuljit Bhamra. Choirs, tabla, bamboo flute and guitar sit beautifully together to create peaceful and meditative listening.
Ram Meetook has built up a strong following over the past four years. His unique deep and earthy voice is easily recognisable and his fans say that it has a naturally soothing effect.
The music on the CD is produced and co-written by one of the UK's leading Brit-Asian musicians Kuljit Bhamra MBE, who also feels that this fresh and unique sound will appeal to a much wider range of listeners - religious or not. The orchestration features a Mumbai Choir singing interweaving harmony lines in a all and response style format - unusual for this type of music, and a haunting but relaxing style of music production that is difficult not to sing along to.
