Ingrid Schyborger is a 25 years old artist, composer, film-scorer and bass player living in Stockholm. Originally from Stockholm, Sweden, she grew up in a small neighbourhood outside the city with a house full of musical instruments. She started with the piano at the age of 5 and at the age of 9 she began playing classical cello and electric bass as well. At the age of 17 she picked up the double bass and quickly fell in love with the instrument. After studying jazz in high school, she went on to do her undergraduate at The Royal College of Music (KMH) in Stockholm, and later on her Master's Degree at The Manhattan School of Music in New York. Her debut album, "In Love With The World" which will be released under the label "Prophone" and is coming out on the 1st of November 2024. It contains a jazz quartet combined with a string quartet, a project Schyborger has been working on for the past 2,5 years. Ingrid is one of the most interesting bass players in the modern jazz scene right now, she is quickly being recognized both as a composer and musician, and has played with several prominent artists in Sweden, Europe, the USA and Kenya.
