Description
The orchestral music by Jozef Elsner, Carl Maria von Weber and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart captured on this disc was written around the turn of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, during the Classical (Mozart, Elsner) and early Romantic (Weber) eras. Fryderyk Chopin was familiar with these composers' music from a young age, and they made a considerable impression on him, particularly during his Warsaw period. Just one generation separated Chopin from the Classics, but due to the historical context and the dynamic transformation and intense development of music at that time, it was a whole epoch.
{oh!} Orkiestra has released nine CD albums and has been broadcasted in German, British, Austrian, Swedish, Czech, Slovak and Russian radio stations as well as appeared on Mezzo, [Medici.tv](http://medici.tv/), Polish Radio 2 and Arte TV. In 2021 Polish Public Television Kultura has recorded a documentary about Martyna Pastuszka and {oh!} titled "Nie jestem maestro" [Don't call me maestro].
'Luks and his fine period-instrument orchestra support their soloist with finesse. Orchestral sound is refined and 'thinner' than that of a modern orchestra, with no lack of impetus or atmosphere.' – Gramophone Review of the {oh!} Orchestra on NIFCCD660
