Description
Pianist Barry Green's 2008 album, which is being made widely available for the first time. It received an excellent 4 star review in The Guardian, "a piano-trio set that can stand up with some of the best."
'The Music of Chance' (inspired by the book by Paul Auster) documents Barry Green's (Charles McPherson, Bill McHenry, Tom Rainey) New York trio with Ben Street (Kurt Rosenwinkel, Danilo Perez, Paul Motian) on bass, and Jeff Williams (Joe Lovano, Stan Getz, Dave Liebman) on drums. This spontaneous encounter brings together the three musicians different playing experiences to create a free-flowing, loose, trio album.
Personnel: Barry Green (piano), Ben Street (bass), Jeff Williams (drums)
