Description
Serbian pianist Miloš Mihajlovic, winner of the 2009 Southern Highland International Piano Competition in Australia, makes his recording debut for Bel Air with a variety of popular pieces by Mozart and Chopin.
His repertoire for this debut ranges from Mozart's D minor Fantasia and A minor Piano Sonata, K310 to the first of Chopin's Ballades and the so-called 'Minute' Waltz, perhaps the Polish composer's best-known piece. He concludes with the Andante spianato and Grande Polonaise brillante, the latter work originally written by Chopin for piano and orchestra.
Miloš Mihajlovic was born in 1978 and graduated from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in 1999. He has won many international piano competitions in Italy, his native Serbia, Spain, Greece and Australia and appears throughout Europe both as a recitalist and soloist with orchestras.
