Description
This is a unique collection of music from the movie "Ben-Hur" as it features, for the first time, the music in the order that it appears in the film. Unlike the original LP, entitled "Musical Highlights from Ben-Hur" which only featured approximately 40 minutes of music from the original two and a half hour score.
Some 56 years after its release and 11 Oscars later Jasmine are proud to issue this superbly epic and grandiose collection composed by the inimitable Miklós Rózsa. A veteran of the epic film score. Miklos led as he described a "double life" between his film work and absolute concert music. His concert work was championed by the likes of: Jascha Heifetz; Gregor Piatigorsky, and János Starker and his score for Ben-Hur secured him a much deserved Oscar.
