Description
For fans of Edgar Froese, Jean Michel Jarre, Harald Grobkopf - first solo album by the former Wallenstein bassist, available digitally and on CD for the first time in 45 years - remastered by Eroc (also known for his work with 10cc, Procol Harum, Hawkwind, among others) bonus track "Voyage (remix)" newly reworked by Harald Grobkopf and Tobias Stock.
Jurgen Pluta studied music and sports and played in local bands since his school days, performing various genres of music - from beat to rock to blues. The desire to become a professional musician was always deeply rooted in him. So in 1973, he followed Jurgen Dollase's call and joined the "Krautrock band" Wallenstein. Jurgen Pluta remained with the band as bassist for five years and recorded two albums with Wallenstein: "Stories, Songs & Symphonies" (1975, released on Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser's "Kosmische Musik" label) and "No More Love" (RCA, 1977). Pluta's next stop was the Dusseldorf band Streetmark, with whom he recorded the album "Dry" (Sky Records) in 1979 and went on tour. However, before finally devoting himself to his plans for his first solo work, he toured with the German Krautrock pioneers Embryo.
Jurgen Pluta recorded his electronic work Blanche at the Procom Studio in Kirchhellen in his hometown of Bottrop in the winter of 1979. Pluta had already discovered his love for electronic music in previous years, partly through his collaboration with former Wallenstein and Ashra-Tempel drummer Harald Grobkopf. During the recording of "Blanche," he was supported by Rolf Eggemann on drums and his former bandmate from his Prosper days, Fritz Frey (guitar). The album was released in 1980 on the Rocktopus label of Hansa/Ariola. After 45 years, this ambitious work is now being released digitally and on CD for the first time, remastered by Eroc. As a bonus, there is also a remix of "Voyage" by Harald Grobkopf.
