    This album brings together masterworks by Johann Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in captivating transcriptions for organ. At the heart of the programme is the dialogue between two great musical worlds: the profound contrapuntal mastery of Bach and Mozart's clarity, elegance and expressive brilliance. Alongside Bach's celebrated Fugue in D minor, selections from the French Suite No. 5 and The Art of Fugue, the album features transcriptions of the Adagio from the First Sonata for Solo Violin. Mozart is represented by three remarkable works originally conceived for mechanical organs, including the monumental Ein Orgel-Stuck fur eine Uhr, KV 608, as well as the Kyrie Fugue from the Requiem. Performed by organist Michal Kocot on the historic organ of the Church of Our Lady of Candlemas in Kozuchow, these transcriptions reveal new colours and dimensions in music familiar and lesser known. The programme combines architectural precision, spiritual depth and the rich sonority of the organ, offering a compelling encounter between two giants of European music.
