  • Description

Originally founded as a solo outlet by Carl Skildum (Threadbare, Antiverse, Obsequiae live lineup), Inexorum is also joined by Matthew Kirkwold (also of Antiverse and Obsequiae live lineup) and serves as an outlet for Skildum's personal compositions that felt connected through similar energies and inspirations all their own. Skildum elaborates, 'For Inexorum, a foundational source of inspiration is the melodic intersection between black and death metal that developed when both of those scenes were pretty young. The early/mid-90s No Fashion and Necropolis rosters were inspiring to me back then and remain exciting now.' Although inspired by the sound and tone of those genres, the heavy lyrical content comes from a far more secular and personal place. Themes of struggle and grief carry the torch throughout the album, focusing more on our ability to navigate the trials throughout our lives become stronger through that suffering.
