This unique live album includes a rarely heard, 25-minute chamber version of Jesus' Blood Never Failed Me Yet, as well as The Flower of Friendship, a work that is in effect a portrait of the four central musicians in Gavin Bryars' ensemble; musicians who have worked with Gavin for many years.
It also includes his four children, who have worked with the group on other recordings, such as the live Titanic centenary album (BCGBCD21). For the last three years Gavin has given annual performances at Cafe Oto and this one, from 2018, is the most recent live recorded ensemble performance. It follows the line of important live recordings by the ensemble from Live at Punkt (BCGBCD15), to Nothing like the Sun (BCGBCD24).
