Description
Searows is the moniker of Alec Duckart, a Pacific Northwest singer-songwriter and guitarist. Duckart's hushed and compelling debut album, Guard Dog, was released independently, soon finding an audience that were already sharing snippets of his music via communities on TikTok. With no real expectations for where he wanted the music to land, the album was greeted fondly and received co-signs from prominent indie artists Ethel Cain and Gracie Abrams, both of whom he has since supported on tour.
Searows' sound often feels like Duckart is singing directly and solely to you, the listener, and as an admirer of the likes of Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver, it similarly hits a raw nerve. Duckart has written and produced all of his own music to date.
'Flush EP' is Searows' latest release via Last Recordings On Earth, a label launched by Matt Maltese in association with Communion Records. It follows his acclaimed 2023 EP, End Of The World, and fan favourite, 'House Song'.
