Description
Although Keely Smith began singing with bandleader/singer/trumpeter Louis Prima in 1949, she didn't get her own solo career under way until 1956, after Prima and his band, Sam Butera & The Witnesses, were signed to Capitol. This compilation presents the Very Best of Keely's Capitol output between 1956-59.
It features classy 45s like her signature song, 'I Wish You Love', 'High School Affair', 'Young And In Love', 'You'll Never Know' and 'I Keep Forgetting', as well as tracks from "The Call Of The Wildest", "The Wildest Show At Tahoe", "Hey Boy! Hey Girl!" and her first three solo albums, "I Wish You Love", "Politely!", and "Swingin' Pretty".
Also includes her one-off duet with Frank Sinatra, the groovy 'How Are Ya Fixed For Love?'/'Nothing In Common', a U.S. Top 40 hit in 1958.
The punters who buy this one, will soon realise that they have to buy the other two releases in this series!
