  • Description

After exploring his music with the band Sounds of Jimi (2020), Thomas Naim takes on a true challenge: to revisit the rich world of Jimi Hendrix, solo, with an acoustic guitar. "May This Be Love" is the result of a long introspective process where the inimitable universe of the Seattle guitarist intersects with the unique perspective of the artist behind the recently acclaimed 'On The Far Side'.

Here, Thomas Naim, guided by the sharp and inspiring vision of artistic director Daniel Yvinec, offers a reimagining of some of the most iconic works of the legendary guitarist, along with a selection of his most significant covers.

Navigating between minimalism and trance, melodic clarity and rhythmic bursts, Thomas Naim takes us on a journey to the heart of the guitar, led by the benevolent gaze of one of his lifelong heroes: Jimi Hendrix.

Background: Guitarist, composer, and producer Thomas Naim started playing the guitar at the age of 12, exploring genres ranging from rock to jazz. During his studies at the American School of Modern Music in Paris, he co-founded the duo Tom & Joy, releasing two albums in the early 2000s blending bossa nova and jazz influences.

He was named one of the top three French guitarists in the Best of 2023/2024 by"Jazz Magazine" and"Jazz News."
