Description
First time on LP 180g vinyl - limited edition. After we finished "In a Silent Way," explained Miles Davis in his autobiography, "I took the band out on the road; Wayne Shorter, Dave Holland, Chick Corea, and Jack DeJohnette were now my working band. Man, I wish this band had been recorded live because it was really a bad mother.......". I think Chick Corea and a few other people recorded some of our performances live, but Columbia missed out on the whole "......."thing. We toured through the spring and up until August, when we went back into the studio again and recorded 'Bitches Brew'.
Although Miles was unaware of it at the time, many of these live performances during this period were in fact taped, including the Berlin concert of November 7, 1969, presented here.
Includes the compositions "Bitches Brew" and "Sanctuary", which predate the iconic album, 'Bitches Brew'.
