Description
First time on vinyl - 2LP set - gatefold sleeve - 180g premium vinyl.
This release contains a complete concert by the 1966 Miles Davis Quintet featuring Wayne Shotter, Herbie Hancock, Richard Davis, and Tony Williams.
Recorded at the iconic Oriental Theatre in Portland shortly before it was sadly demolished, the concert marks the only existing testimony of bassist Richard Davis playing with Miles.
Among its many highlights are a beautiful extended version of 'My Funny Valentine' and the only existing version of 'Who Can I Turn To' in Miles Davis's entire discography.
Miles Davis: trumpet
Wayne Shorter: tenor saxophone
Herbie Hancock: piano
Richard Davis: bass
Tony Williams: drums
