Description
What Benny Goodman was to clarinet, so Harry James was to trumpet. James had learnt much playing with Goodman in the late 1930s before going out on his own and becoming one of the greatest bands of the Big band era.
Instrumentally, he was as dynamic asthey came, and vocally he had some of the best around - Frank Sinatra, Helen Forrest and Dick Haymes amongst them.
This great value-for-money Two-CD set, containing 49 tracks and running over 2 and 1/2 hours, showcases the very best, combining a superb collection of the well known instrumentals with some unforgettable vocal tracks.
