Description
This unique 2CD compilation anthologies Glen Campbell's early recording career, presenting him as a member of The Gee Cees, The Fleas, The Trophies and The Green River Boys, in addition to his own early solo recordings, beginning with his rare-as-hens-teeth debut 45, on which he was billed as "Billy Dolton".
Long before he became one of the most successful crossover country/pop/rock artists of all time, Glen Campbell had carved out a notable early 60s career as a sideman, guitarist and backing singer. This compilation features his very first solo hits "Turn Around, Look at Me" and "Too Late To Worry, Too Blue To Cry".
Also presented here is the critically acclaimed "Big Bluegrass Special" album - including their Top 20 C&W hit "Kentucky Means Paradise" - which he recorded with The Green River Boys and on which they were backed by Ricky Nelson's band, featuring the legendary James Burton on guitar.
This remarkable body of work also includes a number of collectors' rarities which are impossible to find elsewhere on CD.
