The late hillbilly balladeer George Morgan may not be as well remembered as his more famous peers Eddy Arnold and Jim Reeves, but he was every bit as popular in his 1950s heyday as they were on stage, on radio and on records.
Morgan's 'signature songs' 'Candy Kisses' and 'Room Full Of Roses' have both been revived many times in the 60+ years since he recorded the original versions, and were the foundation of a recording career that lasted until his early death in 1975.
"Kisses And Roses" is the most comprehensive single CD of Nashville-born Morgan's early recordings to date, covering 14 years of his career on wax.
