THE HECK are back with the ultimate acoustic Garagepunk Christmas Album!
The record kicks off with self-penned hit "Christmas Is Knocking at Your Door": a song that good that you can hardly believe it's their own. It's all about that feel of longing for the best time of the year again! There is feel good vibes all over the place. Side A continues with the song that got it all started: "Bad Christmas". Even in this acoustic version the raw energy of Christmas is captured perfectly. Right after that an acoustic version of THE SONICS' "Santa Claus" is present: and what a perfect present it is considering Santa Claus brought nothing according to the song! Side A concludes with "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" which we already knew from their "Bad Christmas" single but this time they've asked long-time friend Arjan Beukers (who also can be heard on THE SENSATIONAL SECOND COUSINS LP, "Earthquake!") to kick in with a mind-blowing saxophone solo.
When we flip the record 'round we find another future Christmas classic with "Dream On (At Christmas Time)" a song about hope and despair. It even has a xylophone solo right in the middle. Just when things might get a bit too much on your emotions "No More Fucking Christmas" kicks in. No need to explain what this one is about. We continue with "If Christmas Can't Bring You Home". The most beautiful little song by THE REIGNING SOUND which has been a personal fave for years. We leave you with a message of hope: "We Wish You a Better Christmas" (and a brighter new year)!
