    Continuing their celebration of 100 years of the Chopin Competition, this double CD recording of Janusz Olejniczak taken from the 1970 Festival features photographs of the competition and Janusz Olejniczak performing. It also features Janusz Olejniczak's memories of his early years and path to the competition. "The first person I associate with the utmost greatness from the world of music is the pianist Vladimir Horowitz, whom I encountered thanks to the programmes of Jan Weber. What Jan Weber did for Polish music, for Polish pianists, is really impossible to overestimate. At the age of 17 or 18, when I entered the Chopin Competition and won a prize, my serious artistic work began [then], though of course it was still too soon to start a regular career. I was still lacking a great deal, and I realised that I still had a lot to learn." - Janusz Olejniczak.
