FireFlame is a five-piece heavy metal band from Osaka, Japan. From the start, FireFlame set out with a clear mission: to prove that Japanese metal can hold its own on the global stage. That ambition shapes everything from how they write to how they perform. Musically, the band operates under the banner of "Modern Heavy Metal" - a self-chosen label that reflects their refusal to stay within a single subgenre. Their sound draws from classic heavy metal and metalcore, but stretches into melodic death metal and ballads depending on where a song needs to go. The engine behind it all is the twin-guitar dynamic of FireRay and Fire.J, whose interplay drives both the heavier and more melodic sides of the band's catalog with equal precision. Beyond their own music, FireFlame has taken an active role in the wider scene. Driven by a desire to revitalize Osaka - historically one of Japan's most important metal cities - the band co-founded NWOJHM (New Wave of Japanese Heavy Metal) alongside their allies kitsunevi, an event built to bring the region's metal community back together and push it forward.
