Description
Lead by electric guitarist Alberto Turra, 'Azimuth' is another step in his investigation of the relationships among different styles, in improvised jazz, post-rock, avant-garde and free form music fields. The disc is developed through the dialogue between guitar and drums.
Six drummers are involved, each one performing in two tracks: one is a cover of an illustrious tune, such as John Coltrane's "Resolution" (from 'A Love Supreme') and Jimi Hendrix's "Fire", the other is an original composition named after the drummer involved.
