    Around the World brings together six distinctive contemporary voices from France, Israel, Netherlands, Japan, Spain, and Colombia in a programme that explores the remarkable expressive range of this unusual trio of flute, bassoon, and harp - performed by Eyal Ein-Habar, Mavroudes Troullos and Rachel Talitman. Each composer drawing on a unique cultural and musical background. From Boris Pigovat's Shulamit, inspired by the Song of Songs and coloured by lyrical, impressionistic writing, to Chiel Meijering's The Lips of Pythia, evoking the mysterious voice of the Delphic oracle, richly contrasting sound. Alexandre Ouzounoff's Paysage d Automne reflects the French impressionism, George Barcos' Piezas Intimas, infuses his music with the rhythmic vitality of Latin America. Yoshimatsu Takashi's White Landscapes unmistakable "new lyricism" combines Japanese sensitivity with contemporary zen, while Pierre Vellones' Impressions d Espagne fascination with innovative sonorities from different cultures lends the album its souvenirs spirit of Spain.
