Description
From the most obscure port bar to the biggest festival, from Asia to America: the Antwerp tango fusion band El Juntacadaveres was present every time. The group stands out for its perfect blend of rock music, traditional tango orchestras, and the rebelliousness of the contemporary music scene.
Their debut album, 'De Platino' (2013), received rave reviews: "Forget the pretentious tango rehashing of Gotan Project...El Juntacadaveres commands respect in many ways." - MixedWorldMusic.com
In the ten years of their existence, the group released three studio albums and contributed to several compilation releases. They toured Europe, Asia, and America, performing in clubs and festivals. They also made music for art projects and theatre.
In 2022, El Juntacadaveres toured Mexico around and around Dia de los Muertos, a festival celebrated lavishly on Nov. 1 and 2, that is, on All Saints and All Souls Day. Dia de los Muertos, of course, resonated beautifully with their band name.
At a concert in Valle de Bravo, they recorded their latest live album there, 'Hecho en Mexico', which is presented here and will be available on CD and vinyl.
