Super raw and aggressive tones that just make you want to bang your head! Great imagery as well. The band's name, DESCENT, originally came from a computer spaceship video game, and there was no deeper meaning behind it. DESCENT is a band with a rich history and a lot of twists and turns. Brian (the drummer) and Mike, have been friends since childhood. They were heavily influenced by bands like Metallica, Nirvana, Green Day, and The Offspring. Together, they spent countless hours in Brian's garage, rocking out and playing at house parties. They were the outsiders who hung out with the punks and skaters. This led to regular gigs in Deep Ellum, a vibrant music scene in Dallas. Having played in various bands, Mike decided in 2018 to revive Descent and joined forces with Kevin Rinders, the original drummer for Drowning Pool, and his co-worker Dylan Pike. Joseph Kuban from the band "Serosia" joined as the bassist for recording sessions. Tragically, they lost Kevin along the way, but they decided to pay tribute to him by trying to complete the songs they had been working on with another drummer, using Kevin's drum kit. This led to a reunion with Brian, and they rediscovered their passion for music. Now, DESCENT is a complete unit and ready to conquer the music world once more.
