Founded in 1977, Tabu Records gave the world hugely successful acts like Alexander O'Neal, Cherrelle, The S.O.S. Band and Brainstorm.
Demetrius Perry was discovered singing in the street by producer Jeff Carruthers. He made this sole album for Tabu in 1990, which includes his cover versions of Bill Withers' "Use Me" and the Staples Singers' "I'll Take You There".
This expanded casebound book set features the lyrics and a liner note by Justin Kantor based on a 2013 interview with Jeff Carruthers. -
