Glastonbury, Camden Crawl, Radio 1's Big Weekend and every festival worth mentioning in Wales – Yr Ods tick all the boxes. Who would have thought back in 2006 that Gruff and Griff's acoustic duet would have blossomed to become one of Wales' most successful bands.
After teasing and pleasing us with two singles in the past, the lads, have at last released a bilingual five song CD that reaffirms Radio Wales's Adam Walton's words that "the finest pop music sung in Welsh for a couple of years."
"People will be able to hear the obvious progression since the last single, more in the electro pop style," says Rhys Aneurin who plays keyboard. "It is an introduction to new sounds that we'll be exploring in the near future. This is just the beginning..."
Yr Ods, like a psychedelic snowball, are going from strength to strength, creating a CD of anthemic pop songs that will drive the crowds wild.
