Dingwei, one of China’s most successful solo female singer/songwriters, has received a phenomenal number of accolades in Asia. With a career spanning over fifteen years at the very forefront of the music business, Dingwei has received awards such as: ‘Best Female Artist, Mainland Artist’, ‘Best Mainland Singer-Songwriter’, ‘Best Producer of 5th Pepsi Music Charts’, ‘Movie and TV Music Award of 6th China Gold Record Award’ and ‘Oriental New Artist Award of 2nd Oriental Music Awards’ to name a few. Having performed at numerous festivals and staged major shows all over Asia, Dingwei broke new ground being the very first Chinese singer to appear at the Beijing International Jazz Festival and has been named the ‘Chinese Mainland’s First Jazz singer’. She has also performed innovative shows at The Hong Kong New Vision Arts Festival and Macau International Music Festival and was invited by The Royal Family of Monaco to appear at the “BAL DE LA ROSE – NUIT DE CHINE” in Monte Carlo. She subsequently went on to appear at the 2007 Olympic Games in Beijing, which was a career highlight. More recently, in 2016, Dingwei gave two sold out shows in Beijing and Shanghai to a combined audience of around 2,700, filling both venues to capacity and having to promise fans of more future shows in larger venues!
