Description
Jazz bass veteran, Dave Green, and young blood pianist, Barry Green, collaborate on a duo record of obscure standards and Alec Wilder gems.
The music of Alec Wilder played on this album, has, until now, has been unjustly neglected. This is the first recording of the title track ,"Turn Left at Monday". This is only Dave Green's second release as a co-leader. He brings a huge wealth of experience to the music from playing with such jazz greats as Sonny Rollins, Roland Kirk, Don Byas and Coleman Hawkins. Barry Green brings elements of the tradition aswell as his experience playing with contemparary musicians such as Tom Rainey, Ben Street, Adam Kolker and Bill McHenry. The two players from different generations of British Jazz collaborate on this unique project.
Personnel: Barry Green (piano), Dave Green (bass)
