FRANK NORDENSTEN (b. 1955) started composing at the age of 12 and went onto establish his own production studio for electronic music, maintaining an interest in both. He has been both a successful studio technician and record producer, continuing to be a key player in the field of digital music notation too.
He has composed works in most genres; organ works play a central role in his output, prolonging the streams of the Central European symphonic organ tradition. He has also premiered several of his own organ works.
Dan Rene Dahl started learning organ music from the age of 15 and since June 1996, Dahl has been employed as principal organist at Fredrikstad Cathedral. He has performed numerous concerts as an organist both in Norway and abroad, including the Berlin Cathedral and St. Hedwig's Cathedral in Berlin, and in St. Paul's Cathedral in London.
The Norwegian Wind Ensemble is the only civil ensemble of its kind in Norway – comprised of 24 of the country's foremost professional musicians. The ensemble's high level of quality and creativity attracts guest conductors and soloists from all over the world. The ensemble is based in Halden, and with a history dating back to 1734, is the oldest continuously operating orchestra in Norway.
